I am a MacOS user, and I love that it's UNIX-based. I've found so much interoperability between MacOS and different Linux distros, that I can't say I favor one over the other now. They have different use cases for me.

I will not use anything other than MacOS to do administrative work on my Mac because they're designed to work best together. Still, regarding software development, I always host my home projects on the appropriate Linux distro for the goal.
