I’ve been using PHP for a while now! I met Rasmus Lerdorf at a conference in June earlier this year, holding a “25 years of PHP” speech. The man said it best: “PHP is a tool. It’s a hammer, forged to do a job! You decide if it does it best for you”. The upcoming version of PHP 8 introduces even cleaner syntax and lower level abilities like directly interacting with C code. This language will continuously improve in the future, I am confident in that.
